Started the morning making our way to Isetan because there was a Sailor Moon pop up event there. Got there at like 9:30 and waited in line for it to open for a half an hour. All we got was a ticket to come back at 15:35. Okay, super confusing because we don’t understand or read Japanese. ^^; So, Chen took a photo and sent it to a friend and he said to just come back at the specified time and we’ll be let in.
Super confusing waste of time, but ok. We’ll do that. So we waited for Chen’s parents to show up to take them to Harajuku. They wanted to go to Meiji Shrine and I wanted to check out more Sailor Moon stuff anyway.
Time to split up so I can get my some ZAKUZAKU and then wander around some.
Never get the special flavours. Always get the original. It’s what they’re known for, so it’s what you should be getting! #ragrets
Don’t worry, Sailor Moon shopping will make it better, so I ran off to Kiddy Land to buy a bunch of Ghibli stuff and Sailor Moon stuff.
Anyway, I then went and wandered the back streets just to get away from the busyness before meeting back with the Chenners for ramen lunch.
I’ll be damned if I remember what we ordered for this lunch after more than a year, because for some reason I didn’t take a photo of the menu like I usually do.
They tasted delicious though.
While I was strolling down Takeshita Street, I saw little arcade with a PINK PINK Monster Sailor Moon Machine, so we dumped Chen’s parents off at Daiso and I dragged Chen there to use the machine!
It was getting close to entry time for the Sailor Moon pop up event, so we took Chen’s parents home and headed over there. Spoiler alert: it was a Massive fucken let down. It’s this little room with all the items for you to view (but can’t take photos inside) but you. Can’t. Buy. Anything. What in the fuck?
Here are some photos to attempt to appease my disappointment.
DISAPPOINT!
We left to wander around so I could continue being sad before getting some tonkatsu dinner.
