Japan 2019: Day 4 (Ghibli Morning)

After many, many attempts of going to the Ghibli Museum, it was finally time to head there. Another cold, wet day out there. It was meant to be a nice stroll to the Museum from Mitaka Station so we could enjoy the sights, but daymn, if it wasn’t too cold to enjoy anything.

Very scenic walk from the station

After 800 years walking with freezing hads and faces,we made it to the museum!

It’s the ticket colletor!
Got in trouble for taking a photo of my ticket inside. -_-

Spent a bunch of time walking around the museum and it’s pretty damn cool in there. No photos inside. There was aslso a Ghibli movie. It was a boring on though – lame. The we went to the restaurant where there was going to be like a 1.5 hour wait. No thanks. Went to the little corner coffee shop thing on the side instead.

An opportunity for soft cream!

Went to explore the garden area in the rain a little bit. Yay for the rain, because there was hardly any one outside.

Then spent like another hour in the gift shop – most exciting part of any museum!!!

It was then too cold and wet to be exploring the local area so we just bussed it back to the station and headed back to Ginza to walk around there instead.

Late lunch at a sushi train! Nemuro Hanamaru Ginza

Next up, is checking out Minimal – the Bean to Bar chocolte shop!

All the chocolate varieties.
We drink cacao pulp juice.

The pulp juice was very refreshing and tasted alittle like lychees. Delicious.

The Kit Kat Chocolatory was right down the road from here, so we had a quick look inside, but got overwhelmed by all the chocolate inside so we just left, since we already had chocolate from Minimal.

We are tired from waking up early to get to the museum today so decide to stop by at the Isetan Shinjuku food hall to grab some dinner and head back home.

Found some delicious warabi mochi while there. Score!
