Japan 2019: Day 2 (Odaiba day out)

Better start the day off semi-early as we need to head to Odaiba to pick up Chen’s bib for the marathon the day after. So while Chen and his parents wait in line for the bib collection I run off to check out the 10am showing of the Unicorn Gundam.

So regal looking

Getting a little peckish, so I might as well eat some yakisoba while the foodcourt is still pretty empty.

Had to browse the foodcourt to see other foods are available for when Chen gets hungry later. Ooh, what’s this….Cremia? Don’t mind if I do. Every time I try it, it’s too much, but every time I try it!

Too creamy for my liking, but can’t not try it! Maybe with the chocolate next time.

Some shots of Chen waiting in line. Ice cream again after he was done! I also spotted some sakura ice cream and just had to try it! And obviously Chen had FOMO, so he insisted on having one to himself – no idea why we couldn’t share.

After ice cream, it was time for Chen to find lunch and he settled on some omurice from 洋食や三代目たいめいけん

Now it’s time to head over to the TeamLab Borderless Exhibition, to spend like 4 hours in there and still not see everything for some strange reason. Spam coming up.

Obiously, after all the walking around, I’ll need some snacks. We were originally going to go to Cheese Craft Works, but then got distracted by Nana’s Green Tea

Houjicha soft cream, so good [¥410]

Alrighty, it’s getting late-ish, so better head back to the city since Chen has to be up early for the marathon. Still need to stop off at PABLO in Shinjuku before heading back. I ain’t going two days in Japan without having had PABLO!

Always go to this PABLO kiosk

Just taking a look before heading out to dinner.

Checking out the Yayoi near home for the teishoku and for Chen the carbo-load. We were pretty confused ordering from the machine, but definitely not as confused as the server was when Chen ordered an extra bowl of rice even though refills are free and he is an idiot.
