Chen made up his mind finally about visiting the Tsukiji Fish Market but we already gave up waking up early some time last week. Really, who wants to have slimy fish first thing in the morning for breakfast anyway? We hit up the markets about 11. It was our first rainy day in Tokyo. We walk all the streets and as much as I tried to talk him out of eating at a restaurant at the market, I wasn’t adamant enough, it seems.

Who am I to pass up some freshly made mochi when I see them? I’m powerless, so a six-pack it was!

Delicious mochi
We ended up stopping at some random sushi restaurant, which I totally forgot to take down the name of. There was also a lack of exterior photos.

Ikura – my absolute favourite thing in the world. I was disappointed by the quality of the one I got here. The ones from our home cooked dinner on Day 7 was infinitely better.

I think I the only reason I have meals is so I have an excuse to eat dessert afterward. Introducing IC#15 HM#7. I took a bite out of mine before I remembered to take a photo. For shame. Chen helped himself to a black sesame one.

Hokkaido Milk [¥400]

Since we had time to kill before dinner, we headed back into the city and did some shopping at Ginza Uniqlo and wait, what’s that?? More ice cream along the way? Certainly. This one was recommended by Dad Yee and it was creaaammmyyyyy (IC#16 HM#8). Since we were* pretty tired, we sat down for a good hour or so just killing time.

I wanted to check out the calligraphy shop we walked past the last time we were here with the parents, so we headed off to Roppongi a little early. BOY OH BOY! The shop is pretty awesome. Spent a nice, long time in there.
